Browsing Safely

If someone monitors your phone, computer, or internet use, please read this before you continue. Your safety matters more than anything on this site.

Quick Exit

Every page on this site has a small “Quick exit” button in the top-left corner. Clicking it — or pressing the Esc key twice, quickly — immediately takes you to a neutral weather website and replaces this page in your browser history, so the back button won't bring someone straight back here.

This is a best effort, not a guarantee. It cannot erase browser history, search history, autofill, or activity a device owner or network administrator may already be able to see. If you are being monitored, the safest browser is one someone else cannot access at all — a public library, a friend's device, or a phone that isn't linked to a shared account or plan.

Covering your tracks further

  • Use a private/incognito browser window, which doesn't save history after you close it.
  • Clear your browser history and downloads if you can't use a private window.
  • Remember that emails, texts, and call logs to support services can still be visible on a shared bill or device.
  • If you can, use a device and internet connection your abuser doesn't have access to.

If you need help right now

Rise & Bloom is a self-guided journal, not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, please call 999.
